John Marcucilli, Owner & Licensed Producer
Been in the Insurance Business since 1992
Graduate of Southern CT State University
Career Background: I started the Marcucilli Agency in 1992 with a nationally recognized captive insurance company. I grew my business year after year and eventually, in 2000, made the successful conversion from a captive agent to an independent agent. Since our conversion, the Agency has more than doubled its P&C size. I am proud of our continued success and growth over the years, and our continued focus on prompt and professional service.
Personal Background: I have been a “staple” in the community since moving to Bethel in 1969. I graduated from Bethel High School in 1978, achieving All State honors in high school football, then moving on to play college football for Southern CT State University. John attributes his work ethic to his two college coaches, Kevin Gilbride and Paul Pasqualoni, who both coach in the NFL.
Community Involvement: I recently bought a home in Newtown, CT and continue to be involved in my community by volunteering for my local high school football and mentoring less fortunate students. I am also a fellow of the Culinary Institute of America.
Tell us about your Family: My proudest achievement are my three children and my grandson. My eldest son Greg works for a large internet security company in the DC area; my son Paul is obtaining a PhD in Philosophy at Harvard, and my daughter Rachel is a pastry chef at Bouchon in NYC after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America.

I handle all new business, renewals, and customer servicing needs. Prior to joining the agency, I worked in Customer service & Accounts Payable. My current and prior experience has helped me service our clients by assessing specific situations and communicating effectively with our carriers in order to meet their individual needs.

Tara Eloranto, Commercial Lines Account Manager
Been with The Marcucilli Agency since April 2002
Career Background: I have been an account manager and customer service positions for over twenty years. I was hired as a receptionist here at the Marcucilli Agency back in 2002, obtained my license six months later and began working in personal lines. After five years I was moved over to the commercial lines department where I still work today from my home in Portland Maine. I like the challenge that working in commercial lines brings to my job every day and I feel that I am constantly learning and evolving with the industry. I also love working with our clients as well as our staff, which has become a second family over the years.

Kristine Barry (Krissy), Receptionist
Joined the Marcucilli Agency in 2014
Career Background: I have always been in the customer service field during my career. Whether it be over the phone or face to face assisting customers with their business needs. My duties currently include answering the phones, creating certificates of insurance, processing payments, distributing mail and faxes, and helping the agents.
Volunteer Experience: Previously, I volunteered as a mentor for elementary school children. Now that my own children are in school, I am a member of the PTA.
Personal Background: I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes for my family and friends. I have twin 5 year old boys. Most weekends you can find me trying to keep up with my twin boys, whether it be taking them to birthday parties, T-Ball games, or fishing on the lake! Sundays are family days – we usually try to go for a hike or other outdoor activity, relax, BBQ or watch football together.
